Occurrence and Detection Status of So Lumpyskin
Three additional cases of Lumpyskin have been confirmed, bringing the total number of cases to 91.
According to the Lumpyskin Disease Central Accident Response Headquarters on the 12th, as of 8 a.m., Lumpyskin has occurred in 29 cities and counties with a total of 91 cases. On the previous day, Lumpyskin cases were reported in Chungju, Chungbuk; Yesan, Chungnam; and Gochang, Jeonbuk.
The Central Response Headquarters completed vaccination for all cattle raised domestically (93,944 farms and 4,075,000 heads) as planned on the 10th. Ahn Yong-deok, Director of the Animal Disease Control Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, stated, "We will recheck to ensure no animals were missed during vaccination, and if any farms or animals are found to have been missed, we plan to vaccinate them immediately. We also ask for guidance and inspection to ensure that vector insect control and other Lumpyskin prevention measures are properly implemented in cities and counties where Lumpyskin has not yet occurred."
