A son was urgently arrested for causing the death of his father because he refused to provide financial support.
On the 10th, the Sangju Police Station in Gyeongbuk urgently arrested son A (38) on suspicion of killing his father B (68) with a blunt weapon for refusing a request for financial support, according to Yonhap News Agency.
A is suspected of killing his father B at a farm lodging in Gonggeom-myeon, Sangju-si, Gyeongbuk, around 3 a.m. on the 6th, and then secretly burying the body in a nearby mountain.
After the crime, the son reported his father missing to the police at 3:01 p.m. on the 9th, saying, "My father went out Monday morning, but I haven't been able to contact him."
The police investigated the son based on testimony from a foreign worker living at the farm lodging, who said, "I heard the father and son fighting in the early morning of the 6th," and obtained his confession.
A police official said, "The detailed motive, including how much money the son specifically demanded, has not yet been determined."
