Inauguration of the 22nd Jin Hae Base Commander Kim Tae-hoon ... "Establishing a Strong Base Defense Posture"
The Naval Jinhae Base Command (hereinafter referred to as 'Jingisa') held the inauguration ceremony for the 22nd Commander of the Naval Jinhae Base at the Chungmu Welfare Center auditorium within the unit on the 10th.
Presided over by Navy Chief of Staff Yang Yong-mo, the event was attended by over 300 people, including heads of major organizations and invited guests, commanders and staff of reactivated units, Jingisa soldiers, and civilian employees.
Newly appointed Commander Kim Tae-hoon stated in his inaugural address, "Jinhae Base hosts key units including warships, playing a pivotal role in national security and naval power operations," and added, "We must always maintain the highest level of combat-oriented base defense readiness to respond immediately to any situation."
He continued, "The Jinhae Base Command, as the home port and strategic base where the Navy's core assets are concentrated, must actively embrace advanced scientific technologies and lead the voyage toward the Invincible Navy 4.0. I will actively support our Jingisa, which carries out various missions, so that it can take pride as a part of the Navy and do its best in the given tasks."

Commander Kim, who graduated from the Naval Academy in 1995 as part of the 49th class, has held key positions across the Navy, Army, and Air Force, including captain of the Choi Mu-seon and Ahn Jung-geun ships, head of the Future Technology Open TF of the Defense Acquisition Program Administration's Korean Submarine Project Group, and director of the Korean Submarine Project Group, possessing extensive command experience and military insight.
