Kwangrae Lee, Standing Auditor of Korea Rural Community Corporation, Visits Jeonnam Headquarters... On-site Inspection

On the 9th, Kwangrae Lee, Standing Auditor of the Korea Rural Community Corporation, visited the Jeonnam Regional Headquarters to receive a report on the major business performance of the Jeonnam Regional Headquarters and inspected the site of the flood control capacity expansion project at Bulgab Reservoir in Yeonggwang County.

Through the business report, Youngho Cho, head of the Jeonnam Regional Headquarters, reported that they will strive to exceed the project goals by the end of the year and, as the project enters its final stage, will do their best to practice integrity and create a safe project site through more meticulous management.

In particular, Jeonnam is leading technology-intensive smart agriculture such as the Smart Farm Innovation Valley, marking an important period for future development. They conveyed their commitment to meeting expectations for integrity awareness and customer trust, and to ensuring that the Jeonnam Headquarters can play a sufficient role.

In response, Standing Auditor Kwangrae Lee said, “The concerns and efforts of each employee to ensure safety and practice integrity are stepping stones of trust that bring us closer to our customers,” adding, “I expect that the efforts and passion of the Jeonnam Headquarters staff will fully fulfill their role as a leading headquarters.”

He continued, “I ask that you carry out your work with a sense of principle and mission regarding integrity and safety, and with a sense of urgency.”

Following the business report, Standing Auditor Kwangrae Lee visited the flood control capacity expansion project site in Bulgab-myeon, Yeonggwang County, to inspect safety management matters.

The Bulgab flood control capacity expansion project is a large-scale project with a total investment of 72.3 billion KRW, aiming for completion in 2024. It is a flood exclusion capacity expansion project designed to prevent flooding by controlling water flow during flood events and to prevent large-scale disasters.

As heavy rainfall over short periods has become more frequent due to climate change, once the project is completed, it is expected to contribute to preventing natural disaster damage caused by heavy rain by enabling rapid and safe discharge through the expanded spillway.

Meanwhile, at the Jeonnam Integrity Content Contest award ceremony held prior to the business report that day, Assistant Manager Yesul Yoon of the Jangseong Branch was selected for submitting “Together (同行) Jeonnam, Beautiful Steps with Customers, Leading Jeonnam.” Standing Auditor Kwangrae Lee personally presented the award and offered encouragement.

The selected slogan was designed based on the names and photos of all Jeonnam employees and was posted in the lobby on the first floor of the headquarters building.
