SK On Receives 'International Standard Compliance Management System' Certification
Acquisition of ISO37301
SK On announced on the 9th that it has obtained the international standard compliance management system certification ‘ISO37301’ from the Korea Management Registrar (KMR).
ISO 37301 is an international certification standard established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in April 2021, which certifies that a company’s compliance policies, risk management, and operations meet global standards. After obtaining the certification, it is renewed every three years through annual follow-up audits. Additionally, ISO37301 is a system for effective compliance and management within organizations, helping to prevent and minimize losses from legal violations by practicing compliance management.
SK On explained that this certification recognizes that it has established a global compliance management system in a total of eight areas: anti-corruption, fair trade, sanctions and export control, trade secrets, intellectual property (IP), information security, human resources and labor, and safety and environment.
Since the launch of its independent corporation in October 2021, SK On has set up a dedicated compliance organization. It has continuously worked to implement the compliance management system and improve the compliance culture among employees by holding quarterly working-level consultative bodies for the eight areas.
