Jeongeup-si to Host the '1st Webtoon Contest' Until the 30th
Jeongeup City in Jeollabuk-do is hosting the "1st Jeongeup Webtoon Contest" until the 30th of this month.
According to the city on the 8th, this contest was launched to discover fresh and interesting content that can widely promote the region.
Anyone in the nation is eligible to participate, and the contest theme is related to Jeongeup’s culture, tourism, nature, history, figures, and other topics associated with Jeongeup.
The submission must be a completed work of 50 or more panels, submitted in JPG format for web publication, with a width of 760px and a resolution of at least 300dpi. However, plagiarized works or those containing violence, sexual content, etc., will be excluded from judging.
The judging criteria include relevance to the theme, originality, creativity, communicability, applicability, and completeness of the work.
The city plans to select and award the final 10 winners after judging next month. The total prize money is 7.5 million KRW, with the grand prize being 3 million KRW (1 winner), excellence awards 1 million KRW each (2 winners), merit awards 500,000 KRW each (2 winners), and encouragement awards 300,000 KRW each (5 winners).
The final selected works will be used for online posting on the official website and SNS, as well as for newsletters and publication of collections.
