30 Members Participated, Worked on New Songs During 3 Days and 2 Nights Stay
"Confirmed a Bright Future for the Domestic Music Industry and Creative Sector"
The Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA) hosted and YouTube sponsored the "1st KOMCA Healing Song Camp," which was successfully held from the 1st to the 3rd, KOMCA announced on the 7th. The camp took place at Music Village (Eumakyeok 1939) in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do. Thirty KOMCA members participated. All participants stayed together for 2 nights and 3 days, collaborating on joint projects to complete new songs.
The participants formed six teams of five members each and completed and presented a total of two songs: one mission song themed "Travel" and one song assigned to each team to deliver to artists (Zia, Lim Hanbyul, Billy). In addition, various industry stakeholders such as publishers and record companies joined the "Networking Party." The "YouTube Songwriter Session" explained aspects of YouTube policies that music copyright holders were curious about. There were also expert mentoring sessions where domestic music experts including KOMCA Chairman Chuga Yeol, Vice Chairman Park Hakgi, Director Kim Kibum, Director Lee Siha, and Director Choi Gapwon shared their experiences and know-how. Various programs were conducted.
