Gochang-gun 'Healing Culture Festival' Concludes Successfully... Over 33,000 Participants

The Jeonbuk ‘Gochang Cultural City Healing Culture Festival’ successfully concluded from the 3rd to the 5th, with about 33,000 residents and tourists participating.

According to the county on the 7th, this Healing Culture Festival, themed ‘Embracing Gochang’s Story, Embracing the Smile of Healing. Sdam Sdam Gochang,’ offered residents and tourists special autumn memories at Seonunsan, famous for its beautiful autumn foliage.

The festival featured healing culture experience booths directly planned and created by local residents (including fragrance, tea ceremony, salt, art, face painting, insects, humanities, horticulture, crafts, and healing food). Over three days, about 150 participants attended large-scale healing exercises, yoga, and night bell sessions, allowing visitors to fully enjoy Gochang’s unique ecological environment and healing atmosphere, which received enthusiastic responses.

Additionally, performances by local artists and a healing music concert accompanied by bokbunja wine provided a healing time through music, creating a moment of communication and harmony enjoyed by all age groups from infants to the elderly.

Artworks, photographs, and natural dyeing themed on the healing life, exhibited around the festival site and inside Seonunsa Temple, captivated visitors’ attention and fascinated the audience.

Moreover, various contents such as the healing playground (tree climbing, tarot, life photo booth), good food booths, healing flea market, and a cultural city exhibition hall promoting 24 cultural cities publicly introduced Gochang as a healing cultural city.

County Governor Shim Deok-seop said, “I am very pleased that the 2023 Gochang Cultural City Healing Culture Festival could be successfully concluded,” and added, “I hope it will be remembered as a festival where both residents and tourists left happy memories in a healing gathering.”

He continued, “We will continue to brand Gochang as a healing cultural city so that it can establish itself as a new healing culture destination for modern people.”
