Ulsan Ulju-gun Launches S-OIL Shahin Project Building Permit TF Team
Ulju-gun, Ulsan City, will form and operate a building permit TF team starting this month to facilitate the smooth progress of the S-OIL Shahin Project.
The S-OIL Shahin Project is a large-scale project with a total budget of 9.258 trillion KRW, scheduled to run from January 2023 to June 2026.
On a site of approximately 900,000㎡ in the Onsan-eup area, the project aims to produce 1.8 million tons of ethylene and 750,000 tons of propylene annually by constructing core facilities within the Onsan National Industrial Complex.
Four companies, including Hyundai Engineering & Construction, will participate in the project using the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) method, planning to build 77 buildings (total floor area of 165,448㎡) and 371 structures.
As building permits related to the project begin in earnest, Ulju-gun will organize a TF team under the supervision of the Director of the Construction and Urban Development Bureau, including relevant departments, to provide active administrative support.
The TF team plans to hold regular monthly consultations and working meetings with companies to listen to difficulties related to the project and seek solutions.
Additionally, the team will continuously monitor the project's progress, share opinions, and promptly support administrative matters such as prior consultations on building permits and review of related laws and regulations.
