Rapid Transfer of Ligament Tear Patient Due to Fall from Heuksando to Mainland
Mokpo Maritime Police Station (Chief Kim Hae-cheol) urgently transported three emergency patients from the sea and island areas during the weekend holiday.
According to Mokpo Maritime Police on the 6th, at around 11:25 PM on the 4th, a report was received that crew member B (in his 60s) of fishing vessel A (9.77 tons, registered in Sinan, coastal gillnet) was unconscious near the sea off Bigeumdo Island, Sinan County.

The maritime police dispatched a coastal rescue boat to the scene, performed emergency measures including CPR, and transported the patient and guardian to Amtai Namgang Pier, handing them over to the 119 ambulance team.
Then, at 1:54 PM on the 5th, a report was received from Heuksando Island, Sinan County, that Ms. C (female, in her 40s) was suspected of having a ligament rupture due to a fall. The maritime police deployed a patrol vessel and coastal rescue boat to swiftly transport the patient and guardian to the mainland.
Additionally, at 6:53 PM on the same day, the maritime police used a patrol vessel to transport patient G (in his 70s), who was complaining of chest pain on Haedo Island, Sinan County, coordinating with the 119 ambulance team to transfer him to a mainland hospital. In total, three emergency patients from sea and island areas were urgently transported during the weekend holiday.
