The Korea Ceramic Foundation announced on the 5th that it will hold the "2023 Korean Contemporary Ceramics Touring Exhibition" at the Latvian National Museum of Decorative Arts and Design in Riga until January 14 next year.
The Korean Contemporary Ceramics Touring Exhibition is part of an international exhibition exchange project promoted by the Gyeonggi Ceramic Museum under the foundation. It was planned to lead the global advancement of Korean ceramic art through cultural and artistic exchanges related to ceramics among leading cultural and artistic institutions worldwide, and to establish its identity as a museum representing international ceramics in the world while promoting sustainable growth.
Last year, from May to September, the event was held in Belgium and France under the theme "Hidden Colours: Korean Contemporary Ceramic Art."
Choi Moon-hwan, CEO of the Korea Ceramic Foundation, said, "We are pleased to be able to raise the status of Gyeonggi Province and introduce our excellent ceramic art to the world through this touring exhibition," adding, "We will continue to take the lead in promoting ceramic culture through cultural and artistic exchanges in ceramics, which are the foundation of human culture."
