Suncheonman National Garden Closed from the 6th
Giving Rest to Garden's Flora and Fauna, Promising Next Spring
Suncheonman National Garden, the main venue of the 2023 Suncheonman International Garden Expo that led South Korea's garden culture and set a milestone for future cities, will be closed starting from the 6th.
During the closure period, the flora and fauna of the National Garden, which did not rest even for a day during the expo, will be given a break, and various facilities used during the expo will be dismantled and reorganized.
In addition, to prepare for the spectacular spring flower displays next year, tulips will be planted and green barley will be sown, getting ready to welcome visitors with a newly transformed garden in 2024.
The city is preparing for a new leap as an ecological and cultural city centered around the National Garden after the expo, and plans to reorganize the space of the National Garden and establish efficient operation plans to ensure smooth progress of related projects.
A city official said, "During the closure period, we are renovating the National Garden to continue the reputation of the Garden Expo and preparing various contents, so we ask for your continued interest and support in 2024."
Meanwhile, the Suncheonman Wetland will operate normally, independent of the closure of Suncheonman National Garden.
