Movie Starring Ma Dong-seok, 'Hwangya', Released on Netflix Instead of Theaters
Online video service (OTT) Netflix announced on the 2nd that it will release the movie "Hwangya" starring actor Ma Dong-seok in over 190 countries overseas. However, the release timing and schedule were not disclosed.
"Hwangya" is an action blockbuster depicting the final battle for survival among those living in a lawless world ruled only by strength in a ruined world. It stars Ma Dong-seok, along with actors Lee Hee-joon, Lee Jun-young, and Noh Jeong-eui.
This is the directorial debut of director Heo Myeong-haeng, who has served as martial arts director for films such as "The Good, the Bad, the Weird" (2008), "Train to Busan" (2016), "The Outlaws" (2017), "Hunt" (2022), and "Phantom" (2023).

Climax Studio, which produced the Netflix series "Hellbound" and Netflix films "Ballerina" and "Jung-E," Big Punch Pictures led by Ma Dong-seok, and Nova Film have joined forces for this project.
