Daejeon 'Local Era Expo' from 1st to 3rd... Participation of 17 Cities, Provinces, and Ministries
Featuring 5 Key Contents Including Busan Exhibition Hall and Busan World Expo
Busan City is promoting the “15-Minute City Busan, Adding Happiness to My Life” theme, which is the 2030 World Expo hosting strategy called the “15-Minute City,” at the Local Era Expo held in Daejeon.
The “2030 Korea Local Era Expo” is being held from November 1 to 3 at the Daejeon Convention Center, together with 17 metropolitan cities and provinces, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
This event was organized under the theme “Now is the Local Era” to share and communicate the vision, policies, and success stories of local autonomy and balanced development with the public.
Busan City is promoting its core policy, the “15-Minute City Project,” nationwide under the theme “15-Minute City Busan, Adding Happiness to My Life.”
The “15-Minute City” is Mayor Park Hyung-jun’s number one pledge. The core idea is to enable all citizens to access Busan’s convenient living facilities such as medical care, culture, and education on foot.
Busan’s exhibition hall consists of five key contents and citizen promotion campaigns, including the “15-Minute City,” the 2030 Busan World Expo, and the new airport on Gadeokdo Island.
In particular, the exhibition hall is designed with the brand slogan “Busan is Good” and vivid colors, attracting much interest and positive responses from current visitors.
The five main exhibition contents are ▲ 2030 Busan World Expo (Global Transformation for a Better Future) ▲ Gadeokdo New Airport (Completion of the Southeast Regional International Logistics Hub) ▲ 15-Minute City (A convenient and happy green smart city for daily life) ▲ Urban Convergence Special Zone (Workplace, living space, and rest area all in one place) ▲ Tourism City (A workation city where you want to enjoy, work, and live).
At the exhibition hall, campaigns targeting visitors are also conducted to build public consensus on local decentralization. Visitors can take photos with Boogi (Busan City’s communication character) and the Baby Shark character, upload them on social media (SNS), or answer policy quizzes to receive souvenirs.
Additionally, to widely promote Busan as a coffee city, visitors can enjoy coffee served by a “coffee robot” provided by STS Robotech, a Busan-based company.
