40s Man Who Spread 'Drug Ads' Around University Area Arrested and Sent to Prosecution
A man in his 40s who distributed card-shaped advertisements seemingly encouraging drug purchases near major university areas has been handed over to the prosecution.
On the 1st, the Seoul Gwangjin Police Station announced that Mr. A was sent to prosecution under arrest on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act. Mr. A is suspected of distributing business card-type flyers advertising liquid marijuana sales at Konkuk University and Hongik University on the 20th of last month, followed by Gachon University on the 22nd.
The police urgently arrested Mr. A near his residence in Songpa-gu, Seoul, at 8:28 p.m. on the 23rd of last month. During the police investigation, Mr. A stated, "I intended to commit fraud after distributing drug advertisement business cards targeting students majoring in arts to earn living expenses."
