Yoon Donates 5 Million Won for Construction of Rhee Syngman Presidential Memorial Hall
Yoon "Supporting the Establishment as a Member of the People"
President Yoon Suk-yeol participated in the national fundraising campaign for the construction of the Rhee Syngman Presidential Memorial Hall on the 1st, donating 5 million won to the Rhee Syngman Presidential Foundation (Chairman Kim Hwang-sik).
The presidential office reported that President Yoon, while making the donation, stated, "As a member of the public, I support the successful construction of the Rhee Syngman Presidential Memorial Hall."
Currently, the private sector is conducting a campaign for the construction of the Rhee Syngman Presidential Memorial Hall centered around the Rhee Syngman Presidential Foundation.
The steering committee for the memorial hall's construction includes five sons of former presidents: Dr. Lee In-soo, the adopted son of former President Rhee Syngman; Park Ji-man, CEO of EG and son of former President Park Chung-hee; Noh Jae-heon, chairman of the East Asia Culture Center and son of former President Noh Tae-woo; Kim Hyun-chul, chairman of the Kim Young-sam Presidential Foundation; and Kim Hong-eop, chairman of the Kim Dae-jung Peace Center, along with experts from various fields, operating as a national unification organization.
The national fundraising campaign, which began on September 11, has collected approximately 5.5 billion won as of the 26th of last month.
