Geumcheon-gu and Coway Collaborate for Anyangcheon Environmental Cleanup with EM Mud Ball Throwing
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced on the 27th that it conducted the "Effective Micro-organisms (EM) Soil Ball Throwing Volunteer Activity" for the environmental cleanup of Anyangcheon in collaboration with Coway.
The Anyangcheon environmental cleanup activity took place from 2 PM to 4 PM at the multipurpose plaza, where participants made soil balls using Effective Micro-organisms (EM) and then threw 2,000 pre-made soil balls into the stream.
When soil balls fermented with Effective Micro-organisms are introduced into rivers or streams, they gradually purify the water quality and eliminate odors, helping to restore the ecosystem.
At the site, 30 Coway employees personally made 2,000 soil balls, which were fermented for more than three weeks and donated to the "EM Life Sharing Movement" to be used in future volunteer activities.
This soil ball throwing volunteer activity was held for the second time since the first event in May.
