"Competing in Security Capabilities" Korea Airports Corporation Hosts Competition
Korea Airports Corporation announced on the 30th that it held the "15th Republic of Korea Aviation Security Competition" at the Aviation Security Training Center located in Gangseo, Seoul.
This competition is an event where aviation security personnel compete in their security screening capabilities regarding prohibited items on board. It has been held since 2006 to improve the level of aviation security. It is hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Airport Terrorism Countermeasures Council, and alternately organized by Korea Airports Corporation and Incheon International Airport Corporation.

On this day, more than 60 aviation security personnel representing 15 airports nationwide, including Gimpo and Incheon, demonstrated the detection and handling of dangerous items threatening passenger safety in a training environment similar to actual sites, using security screening equipment and virtual passengers.
Eight teams that achieved excellent results in areas such as passenger screening, cargo screening, and aviation security will be awarded prizes in the name of the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Director of Seoul Regional Aviation Administration, and the President of Korea Airports Corporation.
