On the 30th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held a public-private-academic cooperation agreement ceremony to create a youth-centered Changwon-style Republic of Korea cultural city.
At the ceremony, Sinhwa Steel, Gyeongnam National University LINC 3.0 Project Group, Gyeongnam ICT Association, and Gyeongnam Game Industry Association participated to establish a system for youth digital talent education and to discover and spread K-Local cultural content.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲ providing available spaces for local cultural workforce education ▲ strengthening the capabilities of local cultural personnel and creating cultural jobs ▲ regular education and mentoring connections for discovering and spreading K-Local cultural content ▲ discussing mutual cooperation plans for other matters necessary for local cultural workforce education and content development.
This agreement is expected to serve as an opportunity to create a one-stop space in Changwon where companies, universities, and cultural city projects are linked, allowing young people’s ideas to be produced as products and lead to startups.
Jo Myeong-rae, the 2nd Vice Mayor, said, “I am very grateful that companies and universities have joined forces to create excellent living conditions where young people can stay in Changwon. The administration will also actively strive to ensure that the local cultural content developed by young people can lead to urban growth and vitality.”
