Kumho Tire Achieves A Grade in Evaluation by Korea ESG Standards Institute
Kumho Tire announced on the 30th that it has achieved an A grade, one level higher than the previous year, in the 2023 ESG evaluation by the Korea ESG Standards Institute.
Kumho Tire received an A grade in the environmental sector, two levels higher than the previous year, and A+ and B+ grades in the social and governance sectors respectively, achieving an overall integrated grade of ‘A’.
In the environmental sector, improvements such as ▲strengthened climate change management and supervision by the board of directors ▲financial impact analysis of climate change ▲enhancements in environmental management systems including greenhouse gases, energy, waste, and water were evaluated.
In the social sector, ▲advancement of safety and health systems ▲revision of human rights policies and implementation of human rights impact assessments ▲expansion of ESG management among partner companies, and in the governance sector, ▲expanded ESG discussions by the board ▲increased disclosure of subcommittee information contributed significantly to the grade improvement.
