Beer Festival Held to Revitalize Stagnant Urban Regeneration and Commercial Districts

Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that the "2023 Gurye Omack Festival" will be held on the 28th from 5 PM at the permanent stage in the Gurye 5-Day Market Youth Store area.

Gurye-gun plans to provide participants with four fresh and cold draft beers for 2,000 KRW in collaboration with Cass. Those who participate in the SNS promotional event will receive them for free.

At this festival, mission tours linked with experiential tourism programs, lucky roulette spinning, photo zones, and auxiliary playground facilities will be operated. Various events such as a flea market prepared directly by local merchants, autumn night busking performances, and prize drawings will also take place.

Lee Eul-jae, president of the Gurye-gun Merchants Association, stated, “We will create a 5-Day Market rich in food and entertainment to attract more tourists to the traditional market.”

Kim Soon-ho, the county governor, said, “I hope the Gurye 5-Day Market will be further revitalized through this Omack Festival,” adding, “We will strive to make the 5-Day Market a competitive landmark representing our county.”
