Namwon Jeil High School Beauty Department Wins 'Grand Prize' at Jeonbuk Beauty Arts Competition

Students from the Beauty Department at Jeonbuk Namwon Jeil High School (Principal Kim Han-tae) recently participated in the "16th Jeollabuk-do Governor's Cup Beauty Arts Competition" held at Gunsan Wolmyeong Indoor Gymnasium and won the grand prize, the school announced on the 26th.

This competition was hosted by the Jeollabuk-do branch of the Korea Beauty Association and sponsored by Jeonbuk Province. A total of 21 students from Namwon Jeil High School's Beauty Department submitted works in five categories, with third-year student Lee Eun-bi winning the grand prize in the skin care category.

Student Lee Yeon-su won the Grand Prix, Park Sun-hee and Kim Min-hyung received gold awards, Park Mi-rae, Kim Hee-seon, Park Jin-jung, and Lim Chae-yoon won silver awards, and Kim Song-hee received a bronze award.

In the hair category, students Choi Soo-bin, Song Kang-min, and Hwang In-young won the Grand Prix; Song Ji-seon, Park Hye-jin, and Choi Yoo-jin received gold awards; and Choi Seok-jae and Woo Soo-jin won silver awards. In the makeup category, Lim Chae-yoon won the Grand Prix, Seo Han-hee received a gold award, and Park Joo-hee, Kang Da-jung, and Lee Seon-joo earned silver awards, among others.

Teacher Kim Yong-seop said, "The students, who have been diligently studying, were able to enthusiastically hone their skills in their major fields such as skin care, makeup, hair, and nails through participating in this beauty arts competition. It also greatly helped in developing their career capabilities as they approach graduation. We will continue to do our best to nurture talents who possess both practical skills as beauty experts and the capabilities of beauty practical instructors."
