LG Electronics Explores Innovation Strategies with Global Startups in Silicon Valley
'Innovation Festival 2023' Held
LG Electronics discussed innovative ways to create new business areas for a better future together with global startups and investors.
LG Electronics North America Innovation Center (LG NOVA) held the ‘Innovation Festival 2023’ on the theme of ‘Growth through Innovation’ on the 25th and 26th (local time) at Hybernia in San Francisco, USA. Since its launch at the end of 2020, LG NOVA has held the Innovation Festival annually to expand collaboration with companies in various fields and discover new business opportunities. It is a venue where global startup representatives and investors gather to network.
In 2022, a host at the LG Electronics North America Innovation Center's '2022 Innovation Festival' is explaining the idea contest 'Challenges for the Future.'

Over the two years since 2021, more than 50 startups have been selected and are exploring collaboration possibilities with LG Electronics.
Starting this year, the contest concept of selecting startups for collaboration within a specific period will be replaced by a year-round, ongoing operation system that allows startups to propose ideas and collaborations at any time. This is to open up collaboration possibilities with more startups and to respond agilely to rapidly changing market demands by working more closely with startups whose ideas are adopted. Startups with adopted ideas will work with LG NOVA for more than six months to promote the commercialization of their ideas and will also have opportunities to attract investment through the NOVA Prime Fund and LG NOVA’s investment partners.
Earlier, to accelerate investment for the future, LG NOVA partnered with specialized venture investment firm Clearbrook in August to expand the existing NOVA Prime Fund from around $20 million to over $100 million.
