First Lady Kim Keon-hee, who is on a state visit to Qatar with President Yoon Suk-yeol, met with members of the Qatari royal family on the 25th (local time) and urged them to "continue playing a role in promoting women's social participation and rights."
On the same morning, at the invitation of Moza bint Nasser, the mother of Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Kim visited the headquarters of the Education City Foundation, Qatar's education special zone, toured the educational facilities, and made the remarks, according to Lee Do-woon, spokesperson for the presidential office.
Emir Moza responded, "I hope that during your next visit, as a senior in life, you will have the opportunity to meet and converse with Qatari students."
Following this, Kim visited the M7 Art Museum with Princess Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, the sister of Emir Tamim, and toured a design exhibition.

The M7 Art Museum was established in 2021 by Princess Al Mayassa to foster the fashion and design industries in the Arab region.
Kim said, "The entire city of Doha feels like one big art museum," adding, "If the works held in Qatar are exhibited in collaboration with Korean art museums, it would be a significant achievement in cultural exchange between the two countries."
Princess Al Mayassa responded to Kim's proposal by expressing willingness to advance related discussions with relevant Korean institutions.
She also noted, "First Lady Kim has deep knowledge of culture and arts, having been a renowned exhibition planner in the past," and spontaneously suggested visiting the local 'Al Riwaq' gallery.
Later, Kim shared lunch with Her Highness Jawahir bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani, the wife of Emir Tamim.
The presidential office explained that following her attendance at the friendship dinner between the two heads of state and their spouses the previous day, Kim had a separate social gathering at the invitation of Queen Jawahir.
Kim expressed hope that "exchanges between Korea and Qatar will expand not only in culture and arts but also in various fields such as sports and cuisine," and wished for continued discussions on these matters.
