Attendance at the 'Gangseo-gu Disabled Sports Festival'
Jin Gyo-hoon, Mayor of Gangseo District, attended the "Gangseo District Disabled Sports for All Competition" held on the morning of the 25th at the Gayang Sports Center soccer field to encourage the participating athletes.
The "Gangseo District Disabled Sports for All Competition," held for the first time this year, focused on communication and harmony among people with disabilities.
Until last year, the event was held as a walking competition, but this year it was organized to expand opportunities for participation in sports for all.
About 150 people participated in the Gangseo District Disabled Sports for All Competition, including Jin Gyo-hoon, Mayor of Gangseo District and ex officio president of the Gangseo District Disabled Sports Association, Jin Hyung-sik, executive vice president of the Gangseo District Disabled Sports Association, and members of the association.
The competition consisted of four events?Hangung, Shulrun, Gong Bounce, and Ball Pool Basketball?sports that anyone could easily participate in to promote harmony among members. The athletes competed in individual and team events, showcasing the skills they had honed over time.
Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, "It is meaningful that the event has expanded from a walking competition to a disabled sports for all competition. With the cool breeze adding to the pleasant weather for exercise, I hope this will be an enjoyable time for members to communicate and build camaraderie."

Meanwhile, the Gangseo District Disabled Sports Association, established in 2015, has member organizations for 12 different sports and is dedicated to promoting health and expanding the base of sports for all among people with disabilities through activities such as hosting the Mayor's Cup competition and supporting sports activities for the disabled.
