Floral Arrangement Competition with Attractions and Activities

The garden city of Suncheon announced that it held a floral decoration competition from the 21st to the 23rd at the Suncheon Garden Support Center to create an opportunity to lead the spread of garden culture and the floral industry.

A total of 20 teams advanced through the preliminaries in the Preserved Flower and Natural Flower categories, and 8 teams were awarded in the competition held under the theme of ‘Wall Decoration’ utilizing the wall of the Garden Support Center.

In the Preserved Flower category, artist Eunbin Lee’s work titled ‘Drawing Suncheon Bay on the Wall’ won the grand prize, and in the Natural Flower category, artist Changseop Kwak’s ‘Tension in Space’ was honored with the grand prize.

The competition was held as an open contest at the Garden Support Center on the 21st, followed by exhibitions and experiential events for two days from the 22nd.

This floral decoration competition coincided with the Suncheonman International Garden Expo period, attracting over 5,000 visitors during the three-day event, providing a great opportunity to experience a new garden culture related to floral decoration.

A Suncheon city official said, “We will prepare to make next year’s event even richer and more diverse, and promote it to contribute to the spread of garden culture and the floral industry.”
