LH Opens Wedding Halls for Free at Jinju Headquarters and Ori Building
Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 25th that it will open its office buildings as wedding venues to help prospective newlyweds who are having difficulties preparing for their weddings due to the lack of available wedding halls.
So far, LH has utilized the Namgang Hall auditorium on the first floor of its Jinju headquarters and the lobby space on the first floor of the Gyeonggi Southern Regional Headquarters (Ori building) as wedding venues for employees.
In particular, the Ori building is highly accessible by transportation and has been popular among employees, hosting about 30 weddings annually since 2015, with weddings held every week during the peak wedding seasons in spring and autumn.
Starting this November, LH plans to open the two locations equipped with wedding facilities such as wedding halls, bridal waiting rooms, and banquet halls?the Jinju headquarters and the Gyeonggi Southern Regional Headquarters?free of charge to the general public every Saturday and Sunday.
Additionally, after analyzing the demand for applications at the two locations, LH plans to gradually expand the service to regional headquarters in the future. Moreover, not only the office buildings but also the outdoor landscaped areas within the office premises will be arranged as wedding spaces to broaden the options available to prospective newlyweds.
