SSG.com announced on the 25th that sales of its next-day delivery service 'SSG One Day (1DAY)' increased by 84% compared to July, the first month of the service launch. SSG One Day delivery is a next-day delivery service where orders placed by 11 PM on the same day are delivered the next day. It mainly operates with lifestyle products including processed foods, daily necessities, baby and children’s items, pet supplies, and beauty products.
SSG.com analyzed that the SSG One Day delivery service is expanding and complementing the existing 'SSG Delivery' and 'Dawn Delivery' services. As evidence, sales in the baby and children’s product category increased the most by 516% during the period, followed by pet supplies (270%) and beauty products (134%), showing a significant sales growth effect. SSG.com also stated that satisfaction with the SSG One Day delivery service is leading to repeat purchases. More than 6 out of 10 users repurchased other products within SSG.com.
An SSG.com representative said, "The successful establishment of the SSG One Day delivery service is also meaningful as a new achievement that created synergy through collaboration with Gmarket." Gmarket has accumulated know-how by providing the 'Smile Delivery' service, which delivers products from sellers on its platform the next day since 2014, and has experience in stably operating a mega logistics center with a total area of 40,000 pyeong located in Dongtan, Gyeonggi Province since 2019. These factors worked together.
