"Intoxicated and Unaware" 30s Man Arrested for Assaulting Taxi Driver During Operation
A man in his 30s who violently assaulted a taxi driver while intoxicated has been booked and is under investigation by the police.
According to the Changwon Seobu Police Station in Gyeongnam on the 24th, Mr. A is accused of repeatedly hitting the face of a taxi driver in his 70s, Mr. B, with his hand while sitting in the front passenger seat of a moving taxi at around 2:10 a.m. on the 23rd.
At the time, the taxi was driving on a road in Dogye-dong, Uichang-gu, Changwon City.
Mr. B, who was assaulted while driving, was unable to properly stop the car and fled after getting out of the taxi.
The taxi moved forward slowly with the driver's seat empty, and a passerby who saw this got into the vehicle and stopped it.
Mr. A reportedly told the police that he "does not remember anything due to being intoxicated."
