Uljin-gun Hosts the 15th English Speech Contest
On the 20th, Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk, held the "15th Uljin-gun English Speech Contest" at Wangpicheon Park Wangpicheon Culture Center.
The Uljin-gun English Speech Contest is an event where students from grades 3 to 6 in local elementary schools compete in speech skills, contributing to the improvement of English speech abilities, fostering a global mindset, and strengthening international competitiveness among Uljin-gun students.
In this English speech contest, 36 students from six local elementary schools showcased their English speech skills, which they have honed under the guidance of their teachers. In addition to the speech competition, side events such as quizzes with the audience were held, providing a memorable and valuable time not only for the participating students but also for their parents and teachers.
After the passionate speech competition by the students, a fair judging process was conducted by native-speaking professors, including Korean professors, resulting in 36 students receiving awards: 1 Grand Prize, 2 Gold Prizes, 3 Silver Prizes, 6 Bronze Prizes, 8 Encouragement Awards, and 16 Participation Awards.
