Spokesperson Kwon emphasized, "Amid severe difficulties in people’s livelihoods, the government and ruling party have largely ignored the opposition party, and politics has been missing and needs to be restored. The Democratic Party’s basic stance is that it is time for the President to personally step up for recent efforts to restore livelihoods and politics."
Previously, Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung had demanded a livelihood summit with President Yoon, while People Power Party leader Kim Gi-hyeon proposed a 'ruling and opposition party leaders’ livelihood cooperation meeting.'
When asked if this means they will not hold the bilateral meeting proposed by Leader Kim, Senior Spokesperson Kwon replied, "Yes. We have proposed a three-party meeting."
