An official welcoming ceremony for President Yoon Suk-yeol, who is on a state visit to Saudi Arabia, was held on the 22nd (local time) in the garden of Yamama Palace in Riyadh.
As the vehicle carrying President Yoon and the First Lady entered the entrance of Yamama Palace, the Saudi cavalry escorted them and guided them into the garden. President Yoon was received by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and after inspecting the honor guard along the red carpet, he entered the interior of Yamama Palace and exchanged greetings with the Saudi delegation.

In particular, President Yoon said, "Saudi Arabia is Korea’s number one crude oil supplier, the largest trading partner in the Middle East region, and one of the key allies that have supported our position on North Korea’s nuclear issue and the Korean Peninsula matters on international stages including the United Nations." He added, "Korea is one of the key cooperating countries for the realization of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, and cooperation will continue to expand not only in construction and infrastructure but also in energy, investment, culture, and various other fields."

He also mentioned that the economic cooperation between the two countries, which began with the entry of Korean companies into Saudi construction and infrastructure in the 1970s, is expanding and developing into fields such as plants, smart farms, bio, and cultural contents.
