HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Opens a Venue for Harmony Between Local Residents and Foreigners
A grand event where foreign workers and local residents harmonize will be held in Ulsan.
HD Hyundai Heavy Industries announced on the 22nd that it will hold the 'World Culture Festival with HD Hyundai' on the 29th of this month at Daewangam Park in Dong-gu, Ulsan.
The festival will proceed in the order of a pre-ceremony street parade, opening ceremony and performance, invited performances, a talent contest for foreign workers, and folk performances by country.
The foreign talent contest program, 'HD Got Talent,' is a segment where foreign workers employed at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and Hyundai Mipo Dockyard showcase their talents such as dancing and singing.
In the folk performances by country, traditional songs and dances from countries around the world including Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Mongolia will be presented. Side events offering various food and attractions such as world culture experience booths, food zones, and photo zones will also be held. At the world culture experience booths, visitors will have the opportunity to experience costumes, cultures, and foods from various countries. Various experience booths are prepared, including making Dalgona, playing Squid Game, experiencing traditional Korean games, face painting, balloon art, and model warship making.

This festival is organized by HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and sponsored by the Dong-gu Office of Ulsan. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries explained that the festival was prepared to help foreign workers adapt to life in Korea, assist local residents in understanding foreign cultures, and provide an opportunity for mutual integration. A representative of HD Hyundai Heavy Industries said on the 22nd, "We expect about 1,500 foreigners to participate," and added, "We hope this will be a place of communication where foreign workers and local residents can enjoy together."
