District conducts 'Disaster Response Safety Korea Drill' on 27th... Large fire suppression and disaster response system inspection at Lotte Data Communication in Gasan-dong... About 500 participants including Geumcheon Fire Station, Geumcheon Police Station, 11 related agencies, and citizen experience group
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced on October 27 that it will conduct the '2023 Disaster Response Safe Korea Drill.'
The 'Disaster Response Safe Korea Drill' is a nationwide comprehensive disaster response exercise involving government ministries, local governments, and other public institutions to protect the lives and property of citizens from various large-scale disasters.
Centered around the Geumcheon-gu Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, a total of about 500 people, including 11 related organizations such as Geumcheon Fire Station, Geumcheon Police Station, and a citizen experience group, will participate.
The drill will be conducted assuming a large fire caused by crime or arson at Lotte Information & Communication located in Gasan-dong, simulating an actual situation to check the disaster response system. During the drill, all processes from initial response to recovery will be promptly shared with related organizations through the Disaster Safety Communication Network (PS-LTE).
In preparation for the Safe Korea Drill, Geumcheon-gu conducted a fire response drill at the Geumcheon Resource Recycling Center on September 22. The drill included discussion exercises covering departmental measures such as fire suppression, emergency medical care, resident evacuation, traffic measures, relief for disaster victims, and funeral support. The Resource Recycling Center stores flammable materials and is located near apartment complexes, Doksan Station, and knowledge industry centers, making initial response extremely important.
