Nam Chang-hee, CEO of Lotte Hi-Mart, Joins the 'Single-Use Products Zero Challenge'
Lotte Hi-Mart announced on the 20th that CEO Nam Chang-hee will participate in the 'Single-Use Product Zero (ZERO) Challenge.'
The Single-Use Product Zero Challenge is an eco-friendly relay campaign initiated by the Ministry of Environment in February, aimed at promoting environmental protection by using reusable products instead of single-use items in daily life. Participants express their commitment to 'Single-Use Product Zero' by posting images on social networking services (SNS) showing the numbers '1' and '0' formed with their hands, and then nominate the next participant in the relay.
Nam Chang-hee, CEO of Lotte Hi-Mart, joined this challenge upon the recommendation of Kim Young-rak, Vice President and Head of LG Electronics Korea Sales Division. He nominated Koo Bon-hak, CEO of Cuckoo Electronics, as the next participant in the relay.
Since February 2022, Lotte Hi-Mart has been conducting monthly eco-friendly lifestyle campaigns with its employees, actively participating in environmental protection efforts such as 'saving electrical energy' and 'reducing digital carbon footprint through mailbox and folder organization.' Until November 30, the company plans to carry out the 'Single-Use Product Zero Practice Campaign,' which includes initiatives like 'using personal tumblers,' 'issuing mobile receipts,' and 'creating a paperless meeting culture.'
