It is a three-story building with a total floor area of 4,797.86㎡, consisting of the auction market, offices and meeting rooms, machine rooms, and rest facilities.
The previous Masan Fisheries Cooperative auction market was cramped and inconvenient for fishermen due to the creation of the disaster prevention hill, but the new spacious auction market with good docking facilities for fishing vessels is expected to support the smooth supply of fresh seafood and increase fishermen's income.
Choi Ki-cheol, President of Masan Fisheries Cooperative, said, “We welcome the successful construction of the Masan Fisheries Cooperative Fishery Products Auction Market, a long-cherished project for fishermen, and hope that the newly built auction market will serve as an opportunity to overcome the difficulties in the fisheries industry. We will do our best to supply hygienic and fresh seafood and improve fishermen's income.”
