Under this agreement, Lotte Wellfood will establish a close cooperative relationship with Chungcheongnam-do and Cheonan City to work together for regional economic revitalization and mutual growth.
Lotte Wellfood will invest approximately 222 billion KRW in the Cheonan factory to expand the factory and increase ice cream production facilities by 2026. Once the factory expansion is completed, about 110 local workers will be given priority in recruitment. Additionally, the company will reduce carbon emissions by introducing eco-friendly energy facilities utilizing solar power and carbon dioxide refrigerants.
Completed in 1996, the Lotte Wellfood Cheonan factory produces ice cream products such as Gugu Cone and Bbangppare, as well as food products including mayonnaise and ketchup, and oils. Upon completion of the factory expansion and ice cream production facility increase, the Cheonan factory will become the largest producer of ice cream products within Lotte Wellfood.
