On the 18th, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced that Mayor Lee Byung-no attended village-specific Senior Citizens' Day consolation parties held to commemorate Senior Citizens' Day (October 2nd), where he inquired about the well-being of the elderly and listened to their concerns.
Since September 18th, the county has been holding village-specific Senior Citizens' Day consolation parties instead of formal events to express gratitude for the efforts of the elderly, who have played a pivotal role in village development, ensuring that no elderly person is left out.
