A sex offender in his 40s under probation supervision by the Ministry of Justice damaged his electronic location tracking device (electronic anklet) and fled, prompting the police to conduct a search.
According to the Daejeon Probation Office on the 18th, at around 8:44 p.m. the previous day, a signal indicating that the electronic anklet worn by Mr. A (46) was damaged was detected in Suam-ri, Sari-myeon, Goesan-gun, Chungbuk Province.
After damaging the electronic anklet, Mr. A moved to the areas of Yongin, Gwangju, and Seongnam in Gyeonggi Province, and his whereabouts are currently unknown.
The police are tracking Mr. A by analyzing nearby closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage.
At 8:44 PM on the 17th, sex offender A, who damaged his electronic ankle bracelet and fled, was in Suam-ri, Sari-myeon, Goesan-gun, Chungbuk.

The Ministry of Justice Daejeon Probation Office has also issued a public warrant for Mr. A and is receiving tips.
Mr. A, a tower crane operator, is 170 cm tall, weighs 90 kg, has a stocky build, and a large head. He was wearing a white short-sleeved T-shirt, black pants, black horn-rimmed glasses, and carrying a black bag.
He has no tattoos and shows a slight outward walking gait.
