50s YouTuber Live-Streaming Drunk Driving on Highway... Caught After Viewer Report
A man in his 50s who live-streamed himself driving while intoxicated on his YouTube channel was caught by the police following a viewer's report.
The Gangwon Provincial Police Agency announced on the 17th that they have apprehended and are investigating Mr. A, in his 50s, on charges of drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act.
Mr. A is suspected of driving in a state of severe intoxication, at a level warranting license cancellation, near Dunnae, Hoengseong, on the Yeongdong Expressway heading towards Gangneung around 11 p.m. the previous day.
He live-streamed himself speeding while intoxicated on his personal YouTube channel. Viewers who saw this reported it to 112, and Mr. A was caught by the responding police officers. There were no traffic accidents caused by the drunk driving.
