iTEC, Subsidiary Samsung Medicos Introduces Fully Automated Production Equipment... Production Capacity Increases by 150%
Samsung Medicos, a subsidiary of ITEC, is expanding its production capacity by introducing a fully automated system suitable for the production of 'customized cosmetics.'
Samsung Medicos, a company specializing in cosmetics Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) and Original Design Manufacturing (ODM), announced on the 17th that it has established a 'fully automated complex cosmetics manufacturing line.' This strategy aims to respond to the trend of customized cosmetics, which involves small-batch production of various types according to individual skin types and preferences.
Samsung Medicos minimized the manual labor that previously required many workers through automated equipment and maximized productivity with an efficient manufacturing process. The newly introduced equipment integrates advanced sensors and robotic technology to perform the entire process as a single system, including ▲cosmetic container alignment ▲cover opening ▲foreign substance removal ▲absorbent supply ▲container sealing ▲and packaging.
According to the company, with the introduction of this equipment, the production capacity for 200ml toners is expected to increase by 150%, from 220,000 units per month to 550,000 units per month.
Customized cosmetics are products manufactured by blending ingredients according to the consumer's skin condition and preferences. As advanced technology is added to the personalized consumption trend that reflects individual tastes and personalities, customized cosmetics are expanding their presence not only in the domestic market but also in the global beauty market.
Seo Kyung, CEO of Samsung Medicos, said, “With the establishment of the fully automated complex manufacturing line, we can quickly respond to the quality and delivery requirements demanded by our clients. This equipment will be essential for producing new 'user-customized cosmetics' products being developed with numerous OEM and ODM clients.”
