Energetic Start for 50 Newly Appointed Public Officials Opening the Future of Uljin!
On the 16th, Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, held an appointment ceremony for newly appointed public officials taking their first steps in public service at the county office's main conference room.
The newly appointed public officials are those who passed the 2023 open competitive examination, totaling 50 people: 14 in administration, 2 in taxation, 1 in computer science, 4 in social welfare, 3 in engineering, 4 in agriculture, 3 in green space management, 3 in marine and fisheries, 3 in health, 2 in nursing, 1 in environment, 6 in facilities, and 4 in driving.
After the appointment ceremony, the county conducted training over two days until the 17th in the main conference room of the county office, covering basic attitudes required as public officials, integrity education, and civil complaint response.
This training focused on establishing the correct public service values among the new officials and strengthening the mindset of serving the residents, laying the foundation for harmony and communication with the citizens. In particular, by reviewing the Public Officials' Charter together, they cultivated a sense of mission and calling as public servants and formed values as new public officials. They also received education on the current status and vision of county administration, creating an opportunity to enhance pride as Uljin-gun public officials.

County Governor Son Byeong-bok welcomed the newly appointed public officials starting their new journey as public servants, saying, “I ask you to communicate directly with residents with an attitude of serving the citizens and to carry out proactive administration that residents can feel.” He added, “I request that you carry out your public service sincerely with pride and a sense of mission as Uljin-gun public officials for the development of the citizens and the region.”
