Road Heating Cables · Heated Chairs... Guro-gu Takes Preemptive Measures for Winter
Additional Road Heating Cables Installed at 6 Snow Removal Vulnerable Sections, Heated Seats Added to 113 Bus Stops for 'Everyday Cold Wave Preparedness'
Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) has taken preemptive measures to minimize winter inconveniences for residents by additionally installing road heating cables and heated seats.
Following last year, the district will install road heating cables in six snow-prone areas this year as well.
Road heating cables are remote snow-melting facilities installed beneath the road surface that can respond immediately during snowfall. They are an eco-friendly snow removal method utilizing electrical energy.
The locations where road heating cables will be installed this time include ▲around 160-2 Yangwoo Apartment in Gocheok-dong ▲around 131-43 Garibong-dong ▲around 42-3 Gocheok-ro 45-gil ▲around 7-5 Onsu Elementary School in Onsu-dong ▲around 1282 Guro-dong ▲and around 14-113 Cheonwang-dong.
Once installation is completed in these areas by November, the district will operate a total of eight road heating cable sites, including two existing locations (Gaebong-ro 1-gil and near Gyenam Neighborhood Park).
Additionally, by the end of the year, heated seats will be expanded to 113 street-side bus stops including Sindorim Station.
Heated seats, which automatically activate based on external temperature, will be installed at street-side bus stops to help reduce the cold for residents using buses during cold waves.
