Gumi City Hosts Book Concert with Author Eun-sil Yoo for This Year's Book 'Sunrye Jutaek'
November 11th Samil Bookstore, Revitalizing Local Bookstores and Spreading Book Culture
A Journey to Find True Adults, Into the Sweet and Salty Stories
Gumi City in Gyeongbuk will host a meeting with author Yoo Eun-sil (book concert) at Samil Bookstore on November 11.
This event will be held under the theme of "What it means to be a true adult" and "The conditions to become a true adult" through Yoo Eun-sil's book "Sunrye Jutaek (Pilgrimage House)," which was selected as Gumi City's Book of the Year and received much love. After the lecture, a signing event will be held to continue communication with readers.
"Sunrye Jutaek" humorously depicts the story of the Surim family moving into the Pilgrimage House, capturing the adaptation period of the Surim family among the residents of the Pilgrimage House who strive to live independently.
Author Yoo Eun-sil has gained empathy from all generations with various works such as "My Lindgren Teacher," "Byeonduri," and "Meoljjenghan Iyujeong," crossing multiple genres including fairy tales, youth novels, and picture books.
This event, limited to 120 readers, will accept applications starting from 10 a.m. on October 16 through the website of the Municipal Central Library and by phone at Samil Bookstore.
