2023 Dongdaemun-gu Itda Market Successfully Concluded
Over 60 Social Economy Enterprises and Small Businesses Participate... Flea Market Zone, DDM Zone, Event Zone, and More Operated
Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Ilpyeong Lee) announced on the 14th that the ‘2023 2nd Itda Market’ held at the open square of Baebongsan Neighborhood Park was successfully conducted.
Itda Market, meaning a communication marketplace connecting producers and consumers as well as residents with residents, was held this time with the main concept of practicing zero waste and green living, with over 60 companies including social economy enterprises and local small creators participating.
To practice zero waste, the event encouraged sellers to sell without packaging or use recycled packaging materials, and residents using tumblers and shopping bags were given stickers that could be used to participate in events. A green living practice booth was also operated to add meaning and fun.
The event venue was divided into Flea Market Zone, Experience Zone, Event Zone, and Food Zone. In the ‘Flea Market’ zone, food, bakery, clothing, accessories, pet supplies, and horticultural products were sold. In the ‘Experience Zone,’ over 20 companies participated with crafts, calligraphy, and more, receiving great responses from toddlers and students who visited on Saturday.
In the ‘Event Zone,’ various performances such as a robot soccer competition, milk carton wallet making, and busking were held. The ‘Food Zone’ offered a variety of food, capturing scenes of residents enjoying the event throughout the venue.
