As Milk Prices Rise, Consumers Turn Away... "PB Product Sales Triple"
E-Land Kim's Club 'The Richer Mokjang Milk' Sales Up
'Easier-to-Digest Milk' Also Increased by 20% Compared to Last Month
Cheaper Than Established Brand Products
Eland Kims Club announced on the 13th that sales of its private brand (PB) milk "The Richer Ranch Milk" more than tripled compared to the same period last year, based on data from the 1st to the 11th of this month.
Sales of the lactose-free PB product "Easily Digestible Milk," launched on the 6th of last month, also increased by about 20% compared to the previous month. The company explained that as prices of existing brand (NB) milk rose starting this month, more customers are seeking the relatively cheaper PB milk.
"The Richer Ranch Milk," developed in collaboration with Yonsei Milk, which has 60 years of experience, and "Easily Digestible Milk," developed with Dongwon F&B's premium dairy brand Denmark, are priced at 1,990 KRW and 2,590 KRW respectively for 900ml, which is lower than the approximately 3,000 KRW price of NB milk.
PB products operated by Eland Kims Club include over 200 items ranging from food to daily necessities, offering a variety of products across everyday life sectors. The previously popular "Off-Price Big Roll Toilet Paper" sold 1 million units this year, and "Off-Price Bottled Water" sold 5 million units.
