LG Energy Solution and GM Joint US Plant Fined 360 Million KRW for Safety Regulation Violations
The U.S. government has imposed a fine of $270,000 (approximately 360 million KRW) on the joint venture factory of LG Energy Solution and General Motors (GM) in Ohio for safety regulation violations.
The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) announced on the 12th (local time) that this action was taken following an investigation into the cause of an explosion and fire at the Ultium Cells factory in Warren, Ohio. Ultium Cells is a joint venture between LG Energy Solution and GM.
