'Wings Again'... Yongsan-gu Supports Dreams of Independence and Self-Sufficiency
Yongsan-gu Holds 2023 Self-Reliance Capacity Education and Healing Concert for Over 120 Asset Formation Support Account Holders at Yongsan Art Hall on the 10th
Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) held the "2023 Self-Reliance Capacity Education and Healing Concert" with asset-building support account holders at the Yongsan Art Hall Small Theater on the 10th.
The education session was conducted by a specialist instructor from the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency on the theme of "Understanding Inclusive Finance," attended by about 120 participants including holders of asset-building support accounts such as Hope Savings Account, Tomorrow Savings Account, Youth Savings Account, and participants in the self-support work project.
In particular, before the education, the "Seoul Dream Wind Orchestra" was invited to provide a healing time by listening to grand and beautiful melodies. This healing concert was planned to help participants temporarily escape from their tiring daily lives and regain work-life balance by watching the performance.
One attendee expressed satisfaction, saying, "Honestly, I thought attending would be cumbersome and boring since it was mandatory education, but watching an orchestra performance, which is hard to experience in daily life, made me feel encouraged," and added, "The subsequent education was also useful for real life, so I think it will be very helpful."
The asset-building support project is a program that helps low-income earners with earned income form assets necessary for self-support and independence. Participants deposit their own savings, and if they meet the work maintenance and maturity payment requirements, the government accumulates a certain amount of earned income tax credit monthly.
