Through these strategies, the support group plans to carry out various projects in the areas of food safety, nutrition, food industry, and public-private-academic networks to achieve ‘zero food poisoning occurrence’ in collective catering facilities such as daycare centers, kindergartens, and schools.
Additionally, the support group will widely collect opinions on food safety policies through food safety forums held for citizens and establish and support effective policies. They will also conduct food hygiene education for food hygiene inspectors and food hygiene industry personnel, as well as customized dietary education for citizens according to life stages, striving for the healthy lives of residents.
At the Gyeonggi-do Food Safety Policy Forum held after the launch ceremony, expert presentations and panel discussions were conducted on the current status and reduction measures of food poisoning domestically and internationally, the use of food tech integrating advanced innovative technologies, and ways to enhance the competitiveness of the food industry.
