Hampyeong-gun, Working Hard to Prepare for the Korea National Chrysanthemum Festival
Creating a Large Flower Tower of Hyunaeguk Flowers with Over 4,000 Flowerpots
Hampyeong-gun is busy preparing to welcome guests ahead of the opening of the ‘2023 Korea Chrysanthemum Festival’.
On the 11th, Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it has created two sculptures of Dream Tree and Hope Tree, each 10 meters in diameter and 14 meters high, along with a flower tower in front of the main pavilion at Expo Park, ahead of the opening of the 2023 Korea Chrysanthemum Festival on the 20th.
The large flower tower was made using over 4,000 pots of Hyunae chrysanthemums, with more than 50 people, including staff from the Tourism Policy Office, working hard to complete it.
When the Hyunae chrysanthemums are in full bloom during the festival, it is expected to create a beautiful and magnificent scene not only during the day but also as a nighttime spectacle, harmonizing with the festival grounds adorned with colorful flowers.
County Governor Lee Sang-ik said, “We will do our best to create beautiful scenery and prepare various programs for the successful hosting of the 2023 Korea Chrysanthemum Festival.”
